Contact your local law enforcement agency to file a crime report for all computer-related or identity theft crimes. 


CATCH DOES NOT TAKE CRIME REPORTS. 

 

​The local law enforcement agency will refer appropriate cases to CATCH. Please review the list below to contact the agency in your area.

Computer related crimes come in many different forms. As technology continues to advance, opportunities for criminals to exploit unsuspecting victims grow with it. It’s important to familiarize yourself with computer related crimes in order to take necessary precautions when going about daily activities.

 

EXAMPLES OF COMPUTER RELATED CRIMES:


  • ​​Computer intrusions and denial of service attacks. 
  • Business Email Compromise
  • Crypto related fraud/theft
  • Threats received via e-mail. 
  • Identity theft where technology is used to harvest data or produce counterfeit documents.
  • Credit Card and ATM Fraud committed online. 
  • Software piracy and other copyright infringement matters. 
  • High-tech cargo theft. 
  • Computer component remarking.
